ACME Solar Holdings announced on September 23, 2025, that it has obtained Rs. 1,100 crore (US$ 123.93 million) in local financing from the State Bank of India (SBI) for its 300 MW renewable energy initiative in Rajasthan. The refinancing, set for a duration of approximately 17 years, will serve to pay off current debt and lower financing expenses by about 100 basis points. The initiative, running for approximately six months, has reliably reached ideal capacity utilisation factor (CUF) levels. ACME Solar stated that the decision aligns with its strategy to enhance financing costs throughout its portfolio, simultaneously improving its credit profile via rating upgrades.
The decrease in debt costs is anticipated to strengthen ACME Solar’s financial standing as it seeks to expand its capacity in the next few years. ACME Solar Holdings is a comprehensive renewable energy firm with a varied portfolio that includes solar, wind, storage, Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE), and hybrid solutions, boasting an operational capacity of 2,890 MW. The refinancing illustrates the firm’s ongoing commitment to sustainable development and effective capital management while aiding India’s renewable energy goals.
