Tripura Marks Historic First with Export of Mustard Honey to Dubai

In a landmark achievement for Tripura's agricultural sector, the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) facilitated the state's first-ever export of 1 metric tonne of mustard honey to Dubai. Produced by the Dergang Farmer Producer Organisation (FPO) with support from Salt Range Foods Pvt. Ltd., the shipment opens lucrative international markets for local beekeepers. Highlighting this milestone, State Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath emphasized the government's commitment to advancing apiculture, organic farming, and FPO market access. By showcasing the power of FPO aggregation and industry collaboration, the initiative enhances price realization for local farmers and establishes a strong precedent for value-added agricultural exports from the state. This breakthrough is set to inspire farmers and producer organizations across Tripura and the broader North Eastern Region to embrace export-oriented, quality-focused production.
