Senco Gold reports 31% revenue growth in Q2
Senco Gold and Diamonds Limited (NSE: SENCO) reported a 31% year-on-year increase in Q2 revenue, while same-store sales grew 19%. The company also added six showrooms during the quarter. Moneycontrol
The numbers indicate that growth was not limited to network expansion. Existing-store performance also remained strong, which is important for judging the quality of revenue growth. Diamond jewellery sales value increased 40%, while volume growth was 7%, showing a change in product mix and consumer demand.
My view is that the next test is whether this momentum continues beyond the festive period. The company expects strong seasonal demand in Q3, supported by wedding demand. Sustaining same-store growth will be more important than simply adding new outlets.
I will watch Q3 same-store sales and revenue growth to assess whether the current momentum is becoming a sustained trend.
Stance: Operating momentum remains the key factor to track after the strong Q2 update.
