HCL Expands AI Focus with New Traffic Analytics Partnership

HCLTECH
HCLTech has signed an MoU with Transport for NSW to explore AI-powered traffic insights for Indian cities. The collaboration will focus on using advanced analytics through the SCATS traffic management system to improve mobility, road safety and transport planning. The partnership will also explore multilingual AI capabilities for Indian languages and private-cloud deployment options, supporting data sovereignty requirements. The move strengthens HCLTech’s presence in AI-led digital transformation solutions. HCLTech had also reported strong Q1 FY27 numbers, with consolidated net profit rising 20% YoY to ₹4,624 crore and revenue increasing 13% to ₹34,579 crore. However, the company retained its FY27 growth guidance of 1–4% in constant currency. With continued investments in AI, large digital transformation deals and emerging technology opportunities, HCLTech remains well positioned for long-term growth. Investors, however, will closely track revenue growth, margins and deal conversion in the coming quarters.
