IDBI Bank Q1 FY27 Results: Net Profit Rises 5% to ₹2,115 Crore, Asset Quality Improves IDBI Bank reported a steady financial performance for the first quarter of FY27, with net profit increasing 5% year-on-year to ₹2,115 crore, compared to ₹2,007 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. On a sequential basis, profit grew 9%, reflecting continued improvement in the bank's core operations. The bank's operating profit stood at ₹2,168 crore, while Net Interest Income (NII) rose 10% year-on-year to ₹3,486 crore from ₹3,166 crore in Q1 FY26, supported by healthy growth in lending activities. The bank also reported strong growth in its overall business during the quarter. Total business increased 15% year-on-year to ₹5,84,725 crore as of June 30, 2026. Net deposits grew 10% to ₹3,25,757 crore, while net advances registered a robust 22% growth to ₹2,58,968 crore. CASA deposits also remained healthy, rising 7% to ₹1,42,162 crore, with the CASA ratio standing at 43.64%, highlighting the bank's strong low-cost deposit base. IDBI Bank continued to strengthen its asset quality during the quarter. Gross Non-Performing Assets (GNPA) improved to 2.30%, compared with 2.93% a year ago, while Net NPA declined further to 0.16% from 0.21% in the same period last year. The bank maintained an excellent Provision Coverage Ratio (PCR) of 99.31%, which has remained above 99% since September 2023. Additionally, the Return on Assets (ROA) improved to 1.89%, and the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CRAR) strengthened to 26.92%, indicating a well-capitalized balance sheet. The Credit-Deposit Ratio also improved to 79.50%, reflecting healthy credit growth and efficient utilization of deposits. Overall, the Q1 FY27 results demonstrate IDBI Bank's continued focus on profitable growth, improving asset quality, and maintaining strong capital buffers.
