JSW Steel August Production Rises 3% YoY

JSWSTEEL
JSW Steel’s consolidated crude steel production increased 3% year-on-year to 24.65 lakh tonnes in August 2026, compared with 23.82 lakh tonnes in the same month last year. The company’s Indian operations recorded a stronger 4% growth to 23.87 lakh tonnes, with capacity utilisation at 88%. However, production at its US operations declined 11% to 0.78 lakh tonnes. JSW Steel is also pursuing significant capacity expansion, with its combined crude steel capacity of around 37.9 MTPA targeted to rise to approximately 54.8 MTPA over the next four years. The higher August production and ongoing capacity expansion provide positive growth visibility for the company. However, investors will continue to monitor steel prices, coking coal costs and operating margins, which remain important factors for the sector.
