Hindustan Copper Outlook: Copper at Record High

Copper prices have moved to fresh lifetime highs, which is fundamentally positive for Hindustan Copper because the company is directly exposed to copper mining and sales. Higher copper realizations can support revenue growth, operating margins and profitability, particularly if the elevated prices sustain. The latest rally in global copper has been driven by supply concerns and expectations of strong long-term demand from power infrastructure, EVs, AI and data centres. Hindustan Copper has already demonstrated strong earnings sensitivity to favourable copper prices. Its June 2026 quarter profit reportedly rose sharply, supported by a significant increase in revenue. Technical Outlook The chart, however, shows that

HINDCOPPER
is currently in a consolidation-to-corrective phase despite the positive copper-price backdrop. At around ₹520, the stock is trading below the 10 EMA (₹525.7), 20 EMA (₹529.3), 50 EMA (₹524.7) and 100 SMA (₹527.4). This indicates short-term momentum remains weak. The RSI near 47 is neutral but below the stronger bullish zone, while MACD remains negative, suggesting momentum confirmation is still awaited. The important support zone is ₹513–520, where the stock is also close to its 200 SMA around ₹513. A sustained break below ₹513 could increase selling pressure. On the upside, ₹525–530 is the immediate resistance zone. A decisive breakout and sustained close above ₹530 can improve momentum and open the possibility of a move towards the ₹550–570 zone. Overall, record-high copper prices provide a strong fundamental tailwind for Hindustan Copper, but technically the stock needs to reclaim ₹530 for a clearer bullish reversal. As a copper producer, it remains highly sensitive to global copper prices; therefore, continued strength in copper could support the stock, while any sharp correction in copper may create volatility.
