RVNL Emerges as L1 Bidder for ₹359 Crore Railway Doubling Project

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has been declared the Lowest Bidder (L1) by the East Central Railway for a major infrastructure project valued at approximately ₹359 crore (₹358.97 crore, inclusive of 18% GST). Key Project Highlights: Scope of Work: Construction of doubling work on the 41.04 km Sitamarhi-Raxaul section (Samastipur Division). The scope includes earthwork, blanketing, construction of minor and major bridges, station buildings, platform works, and level crossing (LC) modifications. Timeline: The project is scheduled for completion within 1,095 days (approx. 3 years). Governance: The award is in the normal course of business and represents an arm’s-length transaction with no promoter group interests involved. Strategic Impact: This win reinforces RVNL’s core competency and dominant market position in executing large-scale railway infrastructure projects. Adding a ₹359 crore project to its order book provides steady, medium-term revenue visibility and supports the ongoing modernization and capacity expansion of the Indian railway network. Outlook: Pending the formal issuance of the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) and contract signing, this project will seamlessly integrate into RVNL’s robust execution pipeline, further strengthening its growth trajectory in the domestic rail infrastructure sector. $RVNL
