VA TECH WABAG has secured a 'Large' category domestic order (valued between ₹250–600 crore) from the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) for the Design, Build, and Operate (DBO) of advanced wastewater treatment facilities in Bengaluru. Key Project Highlights: Capacity & Scope: Includes a 100 MLD and 60 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) at Byramangala and Bellandur, respectively, plus a 25 MLD Tertiary Treatment Plant (TTP) at Byramangala. Timeline: 36 months for EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning), followed by a 7-year Operations and Maintenance (O&M) period. Advanced Technology: STPs will utilize the Activated Sludge Process with Biological Nutrient Removal, while the TTP will use Ultrafiltration.
