$NMDC — Mid to Long-Term Investment Outlook

$NMDC , India’s largest iron-ore miner, enjoys a dominant position in domestic mining with low-cost operations and abundant ore reserves. The company has delivered strong financial performance with net profit growth of ~17% in FY25 and revenue near ₹25,500 crore. NMDC is also expanding capacity with a long-term target of 100 million tonnes per year and exploring additional raw-material avenues to strengthen its business. Fundamentally, the company has a healthy balance sheet, strong ROCE (~30%), and a modest P/E, making it attractive for mid- to long-term investors. Technically, the stock trades above its 50-day and 200-day moving averages, with RSI around 50–55, indicating a stable medium-term trend. Investors may consider entering at ₹72 with a target of ₹89, while maintaining a stop-loss near ₹65 to manage downside risk. NMDC remains well-positioned to benefit from India’s steel and infrastructure demand, offering solid potential for capital appreciation.
