Jio Financial infuses Rs 320 crore into insurance JV

Jio Financial Services Limited (NSE: JIOFIN) said on September 30, 2026, that it has invested Rs 320.05 crore in its general insurance joint venture, Jio Allianz General Insurance. Jio Financial Services and its JV partner Allianz Europe B.V. each subscribed to 32 crore equity shares of Rs 10 each in Jio Allianz General Insurance through a rights issue, taking the combined fresh infusion to Rs 640.10 crore. The proceeds will fund the insurance venture's business operations. With this round, Jio Financial's cumulative investment in the 50:50 JV stands at Rs 375 crore. The company said the transaction is a related party deal done at arm's length, with no interest from promoter or group companies. Jio Financial Services shares closed at Rs 216.60 on the BSE on September 30, down 0.6% on the day. The stock has traded in a 52-week range of roughly Rs 212 to Rs 317, and current levels are close to the lower end of that band. Market cap stands near Rs 1.4 lakh crore. The stock is trading well below the midpoint of its 52-week range, reflecting a prolonged downtrend through the year. Rs 212 to 216, the recent trading zone, is acting as near-term support, with a break lower opening the path toward fresh 52-week lows.
