Adani Green Energy Ltd. (ADANIGREEN) Recent developments

ADANIGREEN
Adani Green — major fundamental news Battery storage expansion is the biggest recent development: On 1 October 2026, AGEL said it had expanded operational BESS capacity to 6.63 GWh, more than 50% of India's operational BESS capacity. It is targeting >10 GWh in FY27 and 50 GWh over five years. Q1 FY27 was strong: Revenue from power supply increased 29% YoY to ₹4,280 crore, power-supply EBITDA rose 33% to ₹4,122 crore, and cash profit increased 28% to ₹2,225 crore. Operational capacity crossed 20 GW: Q1 FY27 operational renewable capacity reached 20,142 MW, up 27% YoY, with 4,327 MW of greenfield capacity added over the year. Energy sales increased 30% YoY to 13,657 million units in Q1 FY27, supported by the rapid capacity additions. FY26 performance: Revenue from power supply was ₹11,602 crore, EBITDA was ₹10,865 crore, and cash profit was ₹5,399 crore. The annual report shows net debt/run-rate EBITDA at 5.7x. Khavda remains the core growth driver: A large portion of the new solar, wind, hybrid and battery-storage capacity is being developed at Khavda, Gujarat. AGEL is targeting a 50 GW renewable portfolio over the longer term. Storage is becoming strategically important: The company is combining renewable generation with BESS and pumped-storage initiatives, moving toward more dispatchable/round-the-clock renewable power rather than relying only on intermittent generation. Important financial risk — leverage: FY26 net debt/run-rate EBITDA was 5.7x, so the company's rapid capacity expansion needs substantial capital. This makes financing costs, cash generation and deleveraging important variables to monitor.
