Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited is a commodity derivatives exchange. The company facilitates online trading of commodity futures and options, data subscriptions and memberships. It provides a platform to trade various commodity derivative contracts in different product segments: bullion, industrial metals, energy, agricultural commodities and indices. Its flagship index series, MCX iCOMDEX, is a real-time commodity futures index series that provides information on market movements in key segments of the exchange. The MCX iCOMDEX series consists of a composite index that does not include three sector indices such as base metals index, precious metals and energy index and nine individual commodity indices such as gold, silver, aluminium, copper and lead. Its subsidiary Multi Commodity Exchange Clearing Corporation Ltd provides collateral management and risk management services as well as clearing and settlement services for exchange transactions.
